Faithful Service Medal
Ribbon: A deep royal blue ribbon with gold stripes along both edges.
Awarded for: Five or more years of active and loyal chaplaincy service within the Global Chaplains Alliance (GCA).
Distinguished Chaplain Service Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with alternating vertical stripes of deep blue, white, and yellow.
Awarded for: Exceptional and sustained dedication to duty beyond normal requirements, demonstrating a profound commitment to the chaplaincy mission.
Lifetime Ministry Achievement Medal
Ribbon: A red ribbon with gold stripes along both edges.
Awarded for: A significant lifetime commitment to ministry, with 20 or more years in the field and at least 10 years of dedicated service as a chaplain.
Heart of Compassion Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with vertical stripes of dark blue and light blue, featuring a central bar with red, orange, yellow, and green stripes.
Awarded for: Demonstrating outstanding compassion and empathy in serving those who are sick, grieving, or oppressed.
Good Samaritan Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with alternating vertical stripes of dark brown, tan, green, blue, and red, with a solid white stripe in the center.
Awarded for: A singular, exceptional act of humanitarianism or rescue, embodying the spirit of selfless aid.
Shepherd’s Care Medal
Ribbon: A light blue ribbon with a white vertical stripe along each edge and a solid red vertical stripe in the center.
Awarded for: Consistent and faithful pastoral guidance and protection of individuals and communities in times of need.
Valor in Service Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with a deep blue stripe along both edges and a central bar of white and gold stripes.
Awarded for: Showing remarkable courage and bravery while serving in dangerous or emotionally intense situations.
Resilience Medal
Ribbon: A pattern of alternating vertical gold and black bars.
Awarded for: Persevering through significant personal hardship or sacrifice while remaining steadfast in serving others.
Peacemaker’s Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with vertical stripes of green, light blue, and yellow, with a central bar of white and red stripes.
Awarded for: Skillful and effective conflict resolution, reconciliation, and promoting harmony in challenging environments.
Community Impact Medal

Prison Ministry Medal

Healthcare Chaplaincy Medal

Educational Chaplaincy Medal

Awarded for: Significant and impactful ministry within educational institutions.
Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with a solid red central bar, flanked by white vertical stripes, with deep blue stripes on the outer edges.
Awarded for: Providing impactful and dedicated ministry to law enforcement and emergency services personnel.
Mentorship Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with alternating vertical bars of blue and yellow.
Awarded for: Excellence in training, guiding, and mentoring new chaplains.
Leadership in Chaplaincy Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with a thin yellow stripe on each edge, and a pattern of green, black, yellow, and red bars.
Awarded for: Demonstrating exceptional leadership in GCA administration or during missions.
Global Service Medal
Ribbon: A ribbon with deep blue vertical bars on the edges, and alternating light blue and yellow bars with thin blue, white, and red stripes in the center.
Awarded for: Exemplary cross-cultural or international chaplaincy service, often in complex global settings.
Medals will be awarded based on chaplaincy work completed.
Each chaplain should fill out the form and submit it to the administrative assistant or secretary of their local chapter by the due date.
